Homestead Cycling Tour

Choose your own adventure on Nebraska's Chief Standing Bear Trail with six different routes spanning trail and gravel options. This non-competitive tour lets you explore crushed limestone paths and country gravel roads at your own pace, with full SAG support keeping you rolling.

  • Distance options: 15, 25, 40, or 72 miles on trail; 36 or 60 miles on gravel
  • Terrain: Crushed limestone trail, gravel and dirt roads
  • Format: Out-and-back routes with SAG support
  • Style: Non-competitive recreational ride

60 mile gravel route.There will be SAG stops at the trailheads, at miles 12, 18, 31, 41, and 51. This is NOT a race, but a great gravel tour using gravel & dirt roads, hills, and beautiful views!

Trail Ride on Chief Standing Bear Trail

Trail Ride 15 miles

This route is a scenic trail ride on crushed limestone, beginning in Beatrice and following the Big Blue River coming to the 1st Trailhead at Holmesville NE. 7.5 miles one way. Restrooms available.

Tandem ride on the Chief Standing Bear Trail. Both members will receive an event t-shirt and snacks along the way, and pie at the finish!
