A foray to the Eastern plains of Colorado to the ghost town of Dearfield. Established in 1910, it became the largest black homesteading settlement in Colorado but fell victim to the Dust Bowl era of the 1930's and 1940's. Today a historic marker and a few deserted and decaying buildings remain: a gas station, a diner, and the founder's home.
