This desert gravel route travels through the McDowell Sonoran Preserve and McDowell Mountain Regional Park in Scottsdale, AZ, on a serpentine flowy course that is predominantly dirt. There are very limited supply stops, so starting well prepared with adequate hydration and nutrition is paramount. Please see photos for examples of signage for navigation. Tire size recommendation is 42mm or larger, due to the gravel, and occasional sandy and rocky areas.
