Firefly Trail Ticket to Ride: Georgia's Rail-Trail Ride

Pick your start, pick your surface, and roll the Firefly Trail corridor in the 16th annual edition on March 27, 2027. Choose paved miles on low-traffic roads and finished trail sections, or go self-supported on gravel out of Union Point.

  • Type: Out-and-back ride with mass starts
  • Starts: Athens (Dudley Park) and Winterville Depot at 10AM, Union Point (Union Pharmacy) at 9AM
  • Paved: Up to 82 miles from Athens or Union Point, up to 67 from Winterville, shorter options from 14.8 miles, with supported stops
  • Gravel: 26.2 miles to Maxeys or 66.1 miles to Crawford, no vehicle support
  • Packet pick-up: The day before at Georgia Cycle Sport in Athens
  • Cause: Benefits Firefly Trail Inc., building a 39-mile rail-trail
