West Texas Lowdown

The Lowdown is our non-competitive, guided bikepacking group ride — designed to introduce riders to the magic of Big Bend in a more approachable way. Based on the “Otherside of Nowhere” route.

Aid Station

We will have an aid station setup at the Sauceda Ranger Station in Big Bend Ranch SP. We are seeking 3-4 volunteers to stay in the park and man the aid station.

General

We are seeking 4 volunteers to be stationed at the High Sierra (start/finish line) in Terlingua. Duties will included helping with check-in, assisting with rescue logistics, etc.

Media Team

Rescue Driver

Must have 4 wheel drive, high clearance vehicle, with capacity to carry bikes and riders. Bonus points if you have a Sat Phone or Mobile Starlink.

Ride Leaders

Seeking 2-4 experienced cyclist to lead/sweep our Lowdown category this year. The Lowdown will be 100 miles through BBRSP over 3 days. Volunteers must be experienced in desert environments.

Medical Staff

We are seeking 3-4 medical personal that can be available to help with any injuries. If you are WFR certified, a RN, Doctor, or other medical professional, we could use your expertise!
