This is day 1 for preriding the alternate route of the SIR BRM 8k600k, which has been changed due to the Rimrock wildfire over Hwy 12. There is approximately 11,700 feet of climbing in 209 km, which includes Cayuse Pass, Sunrise, Chinook Pass. Controls include Packwood 76, Greenwater, Sunrise Day Lodge, Whistlin Jacks at Cliffdell. Lodging is available at Packwood and Whistlin Jacks at Cliffdell.
