About

Belgian Waffle Ride Arizona: Gravel, Sand, and Desert Suffering

The Sonoran Desert is calling, and it brought sandy washes. The fifth annual Belgian Waffle Ride rolls through McDowell Mountain Park on March 5-6, 2027, with three distances so you can pick your pain level.

  • Type: Gravel ride with check-in, expo, and post-ride gathering
  • Distances: Waffle 101 miles, Wafer 67 miles, Wanna 42 miles
  • Climbing: 6,770 ft, 3,715 ft, or 2,172 ft, depending on your choice
  • Terrain: Gravel, sandy washes, dirt trails, and connecting pavement
  • Heads up: Distance and climbing figures are from the 2026 course. Final 2027 routes and venue are still to be announced.
