From the Salinas Valley climb over the Coast Range to Hwy 1, via Fort Hunter Liggett. You will need either a REAL ID or a Passport with a drivers license to ride across the base. Carry plenty of water for the climb over Naciemento Ferguson Rd to the coast. Stock up on food/water as there are no stores after leaving the King City control.
