Begins on Willamette Valley floor and heads up into Cascade foothills. Makes an out and back up into the Santiam Canyon. Returns to foothills and lower valley to complete the "lower" loop. An "upper" loop climbs rollers up to Silverton and Mt. Angel before returning to Salem.
