Upper Valley Gravelfest

About

A ~200k perm featuring many dirt/gravel roads in the Randolph/Ascutney area. This route features many steep climbs/descents and several Class IV (unmaintained) roads, though these were minimized to the extent possible. **Be very cautious on Class IV descents - these roads are not maintained and can have blind hazards**. Riding the route in reverse is not recommended. Some "hike a bike" should be expected on this route, particularly in the months leading up to June or if there has been significant rainfall leading up to your ride. A gravel bike with decent tires (>40 width) is recommended for completion at a minimum. Your hands will be thankful for some degree of vibration dampening. The route has frequent resupply points with at least one freshwater springs accessible mid-route. if you start in Sharon, you will be rewarded with a swimming hole at the end of your ride.
