Follow the St Joseph River east from IN thru southern MI to its source at Baw Beese Lake, near Hillsdale, then pass the headwaters of the other St Joseph River, a tributary of the Maumee which ultimately flows into Lake Erie in Toledo. The route is mostly smaller roads, with approx 10 km unpaved.
