Vermont's Super 8 Grand Depart is a self-supported bikepacking adventure through some of the state's most rugged roads and trails, launching from Montpelier each late September. You navigate the course yourself via GPS, carry your own gear, and sort your own camping. This is the real deal.

• Format: Self-supported, self-navigated bikepacking

• Start/Finish: Montpelier, VT

• Timing: Late September Grand Depart, with Individual Time Trial (ITT) option year-round

• Course: Figure-8 loop with three mileage options: Full 8, North Lobe, or South Lobe

• Terrain: Very hilly, extremely rugged roads and trails
