Our final Spring Gravel Series ride starts on SATURDAY in Pawling, NY. We skipped this ride earlier due weather, but it’s too good to miss! We will spend much of the ride in Litchfield County, CT. This part of the NY/CT border has some of the nicest gravel riding in our region.
*** We will start early due to the heat! No train option this week. There are no early trains to Pawling (sorry). We will soon create a discussion post - or test the new club messaging feature. If you can offer a one-way ride to Pawling from NYC, consider communicating in that forum, when it is opened. There will be trains for getting back to NYC in the afternoon.
1) Did you sign the waiver? If not, please do! https://forms.gle/KnfytehsakQzLhuC8
2) Please visit this post for important tips and safety information: https://www.strava.com/clubs/513005/posts/44883251
We need EVERYONE to help us make this a successful ride!
3) GrNY will remain free, so just show up and ride. That said, a BIG THANKS to everyone who has chipped in a few dollars to support the club! More info can be found here: https://grny.org/2025-03/how-to-contribute-to-grny
* IMPORTANT: GrNY is now an official, insured Bicycle Club. Read HERE to understand what this means for riders: https://grny.org/guidelines
TLDR:
- There’s a once-per-year digital WAIVER FORM required for 2026 (yes, even if you signed one in 2025). It takes less than a minute to complete: https://forms.gle/KnfytehsakQzLhuC8
- Minor changes to how GrNY membership works
- Info for those who want to help support the club

Disclaimer: GrNY rides are completely informal. You ride at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety. You are expected to be self-sufficient. We cannot guarantee the condition or safety of roads and trails. Nor can we control the behavior of other riders. Our rides are not supported events. We expect everyone to be an experienced cyclist who can repair a flat, carry appropriate food and hydration, and navigate independently if they lose the group. We expect everyone to follow the group's guidelines, which are listed at https://grny.org/guidelines .

START TIME: 8:00am wheels rolling.
- Car drivers should arrive at least 15 minutes early. If you are slow to get ready, please arrive even earlier.
- There are no bathrooms at the start location.
- Train riders: Sorry, there are no early trains to Pawling.
MEETING LOCATION: Pawling train station parking lot. Meet at the northeast parking lot, near the covered canopy-covered platform. See the RWGPS routes for exact location. We put a "P" for parking symbol on the map.
**** END OF RIDE HANGOUT: O’Connor’s Public House in Pawling for food and drinks. The route ends at the pub. There is a small outdoor patio on the side road. That said, if we have more than a few people, we'll probably go AROUND THE BACK to their larger outdoor area. Normally, you walk through the pub to get there, but you can usually go around the side of the building and through an opening in the fence (and bring your bike if you cannot lock it inside your car).
